FormsMaster
Formsmaster is a true client server application which makes use of TCP/IP. The server component is platform independent.
The client modules are Win32 components ( supported platforms Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000 ) and consist of
the following:
Assimilate - This module is used for
creating data extraction rules which will be placed onto the server and use for data
extraction from application spoolfiles ( ASCII,
CSV, XML ) at run time.
Designer - This module is used to
create a template overlay and allow field markers to be placed
onto the overlay. The designer is based around a DTP (Desktop Publishing) application and supports lines, boxes, text strings,
circles, object shading, images ( e.g. company logos, signatures ). There is also support for
barcodes ( e.g. barcodes based off field values
), dynamic images ( e.g. dynamic
signatures based on a field value ), printer
input bin tray control, duplexing, output tray etc.
Print Admin - This module
manages the formsmaster print server module on the server.
Based around the functionality of a print queue manager, you are able to configure independently each print queue added to the system.
This module also displays and manages document management, distribution, form templates, printer devices, paper handling, print job control and server
activity at run time.

server component is Win32 based and supported
platforms are Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows
XP. Forms-In-A-Box makes easy use of Microsoft
Word to merge print data streams with a document
template parsing the formatted file out to a
selected printer. The client components include the Assimilate which produces merge fields that will be used as
field markers in Microsoft Word as a
mail merge procedure. Once this procedure has been completed, the document template is placed
onto the server. Data is submitted onto the server using one of many interfaces and processed on the selected print queue to the output device as configured using the print manager.
